Jeremy Thal is a music producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist & instigator of musical adventures.
Jeremy Thal is the co-founder and co-director of Lost Cousins Music, a music production house specializing in original music and sound design for gaming and storytelling. As a composer and producer, Jeremy has worked on a wide range of projects, including scoring the lovable life-sim game Cozy Grove, sound designing the history podcast Black Cowboys, and co-directing Soñando con Yurumein, an immersive event celebrating the music, culture, dance, and oral histories of the Honduran Garifuna community in New Orleans.
As a performer, Jeremy has recorded and toured with indie rock heavyweights Neutral Milk Hotel and The National. He is also a member of two bands: the post-Americana outfit Briars of North America (on the Brassland Label), and the experimental instrumental trio Ishtirak (on the Beirut-based label Thawra).
In 2010, Jeremy co-founded Found Sound Nation, an organization committed to building communities across cultural divides through the co-creation of original music. From 2010 to 2023, he served as co-director of Found Sound Nation, leading workshops and music residencies around the world.
